Miss Representation

The Concho Valley Rape Crisis Center will be hosting a one-time screening of Miss Representation at Cinemark Tinseltown on June 12, 2014 at 7 p.m.

Miss Representation exposes the reality we experience, but often fail to see: the role of mainstream media on the representation of women's roles in positions of power and influence in America. This film presents a challenging set of statistics, interviews with a broad selection of media personalities from Condoleezza Rice to Gloria Steinem, and issues a challenge to question gender stereotypes and cultural norms.

The event is from 7-10 p.m., and will include the following: screening of Miss Representation (87 min., TV-14), moderated panel discussion following the film, 3 hours of CEUs offered. Go to http://www.tugg.com/events/9159 to purchase tickets. We must sell 91 tickets in order to have the screening. Tickets are on sale NOW!
